Drug and Alcohol Testing – Refresher Training

This training is designed for collectors / testing officers who hold a current Accredited Workplace Drug Testing qualification to maintain knowledge and currency. Developed by the Drug and Alcohol Testing Institute, our programs have been created in consultation with leading drug testing professionals and collectors. We ensure our training programs are relevant and focus on current workplace best practice to meet employer needs.
HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (ONLINE)
This nationally accredited unit is delivered over one day in our online virtual ZOOM classroom (approx. 9 hours) with a short online pre-training assessment required to be completed before commencement (1-3 hours).
Pre-training is an entry requirement and provides essential background knowledge. Pre-training includes reading, research and answering questions.
Our dedicated team of professional trainers and assessors are also industry qualified Collectors. Training will include test sessions in a simulated environment. Participants will interact with the trainer and other participants on the Zoom Meeting. Learning and assessment is hands-on. Screening devices and confirmatory testing equipment is shipped to each participant. Our delivery methodology ensures that graduates can apply knowledge immediately in the workplace.

Online Virtual Classroom Refresher Training
This training is designed for collectors / testing officers who hold a current Accredited Workplace Drug Testing qualification to maintain knowledge and currency. This training is delivered in an online face-to-face virtual classroom format via Zoom. An equipment pack is couriered to you prior to the course day. This is a practical day revising breath alcohol, oral saliva and urine testing methods where you will conduct test sessions with donors and complete chain of custody/consent forms and assessment for each testing method. Duration 8 hours approx. A Statement of Attendance will be issued on successful completion.

Online eLearning Refresher Training
This training is designed for collectors / testing officers who hold a current Accredited Workplace Drug Testing qualification to maintain knowledge and currency. This online eLearning self-paced training consists of 12 modules that you can complete at your own pace over 3 months. The modules are accessed via a secure student portal and cover topics such as communication and paperwork, detection periods, compliance and more, in relation breath alcohol, oral saliva and urine testing methods. There are questions at the end of each stage that must be completed before you move to the next stage. Duration 8 hours approx. self paced. A Statement of Completion will be issued on successful completion.
